JOHNNY MAESTRO AND THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE AT RESORTS ATLANTIC CITY September 21, 22, 24-26

Atlantic City, NJ - August 8, 2008 – Resorts Atlantic City announced that Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge, who are celebrating 40 years together, will perform at the Superstar Theater September 21, 22, 24-26.

In 1967 Johnny Maestro, Fred and Tom Ferrara, Les Cauchi and Bobby Fiela formed the Del-Satins, a locally touring group with minor successes. However, during a battle of the bands competition, they competed against a band called Rhythm Method and both bands decided that together they could be an even better band. This lead to a name change and soon after the bands known as The Del-Satins and Rhythm Method became Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge.

With tight harmonies, flashy footwork and polished theatrical routines the Brooklyn Bridge had success with such songs as, “Welcome Me Love” “Blessed Is The Rain” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” They reached number 3 on the Billboard Pop Charts with their first single, “The Worst That Could Happen.”

Throughout their time Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge have appeared on television programs as well as singing at Yankees and Mets games in their home state of NY.

Currently Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge are composed of Johnny Maestro (lead vocals), Freddy Ferrara (vocals), Les Cauchi (vocals), Marty D'Amico (keyboards and vocals), Jimmy Rosica (bass and vocals), Jimmy Sarle (guitar) and Lou Agiesta (drummer). Though the group has changed members over the decades, they have kept their classic soulful sound and high energy routines.

Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge will perform in the Superstar Theater at Resorts Atlantic City Septemer21, 22, 24-26. Sunday and Monday at 7pm, Wednesday and Thursday at 7pm and Friday at 9pm.
