Relive Those Motown Days at Resorts! Catch Solid Gold, September 28 – October 3

Atlantic City, NJ - August 14, 2008 – Resorts Atlantic City announced that the production Solid Gold will perform in the Superstar Theater on September 28 – October 3, 2008.

Made up of the most talented singers and dancers, Solid Gold is the ultimate tribute show to the famous Motown sound. Virtually every big name and major group of the famous musical era is represented in a fun-filled show that will turn the Superstar Theater into Motor City.

Solid Gold continues Berry Gordy's vision of Motown, which he created in the 1960s by bringing to life the hits of some of the most famous names in the business. It's a magical night when on one stage, the audience can hear the familiar – and beloved – sounds of The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Supremes, The Jackson Five, The Commodores, Marvin Gaye, Steve Wonder and many more.

Whether it's The Temptations' beautiful song “My Girl” or The Supremes' iconic “Stop In The Name Of Love” or the catchy “I Can’t Help Myself ” by The Four Tops, Solid Gold delivers an authentic rendition and an overall experience that transports audiences to Motown's golden age. From the choreography to the costumes, the entire show stays true to Motown. In fact, many of the show's performers have toured with some of Motown's biggest stars. The result is a show that feels real – because it is real.

When one hears the word Motown, it not only conjures up thoughts of music but it also evokes a sense of style and a way of life – a happy period of American history that began about five decades ago and has never left the scene or our memories.
