Resorts Casino Hotel
Fact Sheet: Rendezvous Tower at Resorts Expansion
In July 2004, Resorts Casino Hotel unveiled its new $125 million, 27-story luxury tower, featuring lavish guest rooms and suites, an expanded casino, an elegant Grand Lobby, and more. The new tower, designed by Bergman & Walls, P.C. of Las Vegas, expands on Resorts' existing décor, a style that embraces the elegance, class and sophistication of Atlantic City's heritage.
| Location: | Resorts Casino Hotel is located on the Northern end of the famed Boardwalk, on North Carolina Avenue, at 1133 Boardwalk. |
| Rooms & Suites: | The new tower includes 357 luxury rooms and 42 lush suites. Rooms range in size from 512 to 576 square feet, providing guests the largest rooms in Atlantic City (by almost 100 square feet). Suites range in size from 1,090 to 1,150 square feet, and are situated on the top six floors with spectacular panoramic ocean views. All guest rooms feature oversized bathrooms accented with imported marble, walk-in showers for two (should you choose), double vanities, make-up tables, high speed Internet access and additional amenities. |
| Décor: | The décor was designed to capture and intensify the bold elegance of the art deco era and of the existing Resorts style. Both the interior and exterior of the new tower feature extensive art deco styling and flavor, beginning with a grand porte-cochere entrance leading to the elegant Grand Lobby and spanning both the new tower and the existing Ocean Tower. Brilliant exterior lighting from golden art deco torchieres will create a glowing extension to the Atlantic City skyline, and will be seen as visitors first enter the area. Two large hand-painted murals, designed by EverGreene Painting Studios, Inc., will be a focal point of the new 4,371 square foot Grand Lobby. |
| Casino: | The new tower provides an additional 14,000 square feet of gaming space, giving Resorts 100,000 square feet of 24-hour, non-stop casino action. More than 800 new state-of-the-art slot machines and 10 gaming tables were added to Resorts' already lively casino floor. |
| Contractor: | Perini Building Company, Inc., Framingham, MA. |
